About Kathryn M. Abraham, CPA, LLC

Kathy has over 24 years of multifaceted experience in public and corporate accounting.  After graduating from Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, Ohio with a Bachelor in Business Arts, concentrating in accounting, she began her career in the Accounting Career Development Program of The BFGoodrich Company. She served as a staff accountant for two business units in Ohio and Washington and as an internal auditor at the corporate offices in Ohio. After returning to the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, Kathy graduated with a Masters of Business Administration, concentrating in finance.  While in Graduate School, she served as a business consultant to many multinational companies including Eaton, Parker Hannifin and Lincoln Electric.

 

After a short hiatus to raise her family, Kathy joined a regional public accounting firm in Cleveland, Ohio where she managed audits and tax filings for non-profit and non-public organizations and employee benefit plans and oversaw the bookkeeping and accounting services for small business clients.

 

Moving to Charleston in 2013, Kathy joined a boutique accounting firm where she was responsible for the audits of nonprofit organizations, construction companies, and employee benefit plans. She served as an outsourced controller/CFO for several nonprofit organizations.

In 2015, Kathy chose to create this firm to allow her knowledge and expertise to provide customizable, comprehensive solutions for all of your accounting needs.

 

Kathy has served non-profit organization, as well as small business, individual clients and retirement plans. Her focus is on planning for small business entities and entrepreneurs, helping businesses and non-profit organizations develop to their fullest potential. She has also been involved, since 1997, with many non-profit organizations, as a volunteer board member, treasurer and finance committee chair for several non-profit organizations. Kathy has presented to non-profit organizations regarding budgeting, cash flow and financial statement analysis.

 

Kathy is a member the South Carolina Association of CPAs, serving as the Secretary of the Coastal Chapter. She and her husband Mike have five children.
